Tip of the Week
I understand if you are skeptic. I tend to be a skeptic when I hear about something new — especially if it sounds too good to be true.
So, is it really true that writing 15 minutes a day can help you make progress, reduce writing stress, and increase your motivation to write?
Instead of answering this question, I challenge you to find out for yourself.
Experiment.
Set a timer to 15 minutes and do some writing, preferably writing you’ve been putting off.
Then, reflect.
Then, do the same thing (i.e., set a timer and write) again later (either in the same day or the next day).
Then, reflect again.
Try this cycle a few times over the course of a week or two.
Then, answer the question I posed.
In Closing
If you feel like it, let me know what you think about your writing 15 minutes a day experiment. I’m just an email away, and I love to hear from you: inforealacademics@gmail.com.
Also, I’m super excited to see many of you this coming Saturday for our second writing retreat of the year.
Until then, write on!
